Sit ups and raising you legs and arms straight out. It helps tone your stomach!

Exercise has no direct effect on fat. It works muscles. You can do crunches all day long, and it will do nothing whatever to the fat overlaying your abs.
Fat is stored fuel. If you eat less than you need to fuel daily activities, your body turns to to stored fat to make up the fuel shortage. Exercise helps this process by increasing your daily fuel requirements.
REPEAT: Exercises targeting a specific area have NO EFFECT on the fat in that area. Fat is used up more or less evenly from wherever it happens to be.

Doing situps and jumping jacks will help. Also try taking one or two 20 pound dumbells and hold them outwards while you squat down.Stand back up and squat down again. Do different sets of the situps and squats and you will lose the fat around your stomach area.

The best answer would be doing any cardio for 30+ minutes a day, (Running, Swimming, Jogging/Walking, etc)
You can not spot reduce fat, you can spot muscles though, not fat. Doing sit ups will only give you abs, not burn the fat of your stomach.
So just jog daily, eventually it should come of, in about 4-5 months tops (depending how much fat you have)

I’m almost the same height and weight as you. I’m 19 6″1′ and about 150 lbs right now. My advice is to weight lift and do light cardio. Make sure you work your abs with weighted exercises and check the reps like under 20. Also work your entire body, not just your abs alone. Start with a full body workout 3 days a week with 20 minutes cardio on off days then go to a split routine in 12 weeks.
I’ve gained 20 lbs this year (approx. half muscle half fat) and my abs look virtually the same so its not always your body fat, its also how large your abs are.

If you want to lose stomach fat, you must burn calories. Running and jumping rope are great ways to burn calories.
