I want to lose wieght. I am 5′2 weigh 211. i started walking about a mile a day which isn’t much, I do plan on increasing my workouts. But I wanted to know how many calories I should be taking in daily in order to lose weight?

Also does anyone have any sucess stories to share?
and
How long do you think it will take me to lose about 40 lbs. if I eat right and exercise, and considering my size?

I was wondering because I would describe myself as fit, but my resting heart rate is usually 72-78, which is high.
Thanks for the helpful answer, it took 3 minutes to get fairly near my resting heart rate an exactly 5 minutes to return to normal.

it’s not that i want to lose wait, more like tone up my stomach. but they say that if you excerise then most women lose weight in their breast first. i geuss because it’s fat. and to be honest i don’t have much to lose. how can i make sure they wont shrink if i work out?

I am most likely going to major in business and just changed my mind from minoring in marketing to some type of health/fitness career. Something along the lines of a personal trainer, physical therapist, ect. What other careers are out there in fitness that are well paying and can require atleast an associates degree? What would the major/minor be called?

i’m 17 years old, 5′6, 135 pounds.

i just recently lost 50 pounds, and i haven’t had my period in three months. there is no way i could be pregnant, so i know the weight loss caused me to lose my period. i’m not quite done losing weight, but i was just wondering how and when my period will come back? is there something i need to do?

I work out everyday and have about 1000 calories a day at max. But I’m looking for something to give me that extra push for weight loss. I’ve found a couple things and looked at the pros and cons. But most of the them say the same thing. I don’t want to spend money on something that doesn’t work. I get reviews of this works but with someone else theres no effects. And I don’t want extreme caffeine that keeps me up at night. Any ideas??
