i’m 17 years old, 5′6, 135 pounds.

i just recently lost 50 pounds, and i haven’t had my period in three months. there is no way i could be pregnant, so i know the weight loss caused me to lose my period. i’m not quite done losing weight, but i was just wondering how and when my period will come back? is there something i need to do?

THANK GOD! I’m having that exact same problem. I;m fourteen and I went from a “short, cute, and chubby” 105 lbs to a “my god,she looks anorexic” 85 lbs just by eating around my BMR. I havent gotten my period in god knows how long, and I’m hoping I dont have to regain any weight for it to come back. Is it like reverse puberty or something?

You probably don’t have enough body fat. How tall are you how much do you weight?

that could be a sign of something unhealthy. did you use diet pills or something else like that? it may have affected your natural cycles or even caused damage to your body, and that’s bad. check with a doctor before doing anything, and don’t wait too long to do so. good luck! and congrats on losing all that weight!
