I’m a volleyball player and work out daily. However, my muscles are short giving me the appearance of being chunky. How can I quickly and effectively lose weight as well as tone my body and lengthen my muscles so I appear thinner. This might include going on a diet or special forms of exercise and streching for flexability. I would especially like super tight abs. Thanks!
i would like to have a “sexy body” like victoria secret models, which isn’t entirely unrealistic right?

What you’re trying to accomplish will take some work on your part, and definitely consistency. Instead of thinking of it as a diet, you’ll have to adapt to a different type of lifestyle. The most successful people get it in there head that food is also meant for function, not always taste. What does your diet look like right now? What will for sure help is eating solid meals more often. Every 3-4 hours or so.
Also, does your current diet consist of high protein foods, like lean steak, chicken, turkey, etc? Protein drinks would also be a good idea to help get some extra grams.
Next, what does your workout look like? A full-body circuit of exercises would be the best way to tone and get the muscles to be more defined. Proper supplementation would help as well.

Hi there! I think most people are trying to direct you to plan or website, which you don’t need.
Playing sport is a great start - the key to losing any weight is burning more than you’re consuming. To lose a few extra layers try reducing your portion sizes at meal times and trying to fit in a walk each day.
If you’re fitter than this, make the walk a jog. A 30 minute walk each day and a reduction in how much food you’re consuming will get you on your way. There’s no need to do anything drastic - cutting out proteins or carbs or major food groups isn’t sustainable long term. Just try to say ‘no’ to too many treats like chocolates, pastries, potato crisps and alcohol while you are in ‘losing mode’.
As far as lengthening your muscles - try doing some yoga or pilates. You don’t need to pay for fancy classes, even a DVD you can throw on at home is great. The ones that target your abdominals specifically are great, and once you lose a bit of fat you’ll start to notice the difference to your muscles.
